Latin

When we entered our second-year class as sophomores at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California, we inherited the books used by the previous class.  Penned inside the back cover of my book was this poam:

       Latin is a language,

       as dead as it can be.

       It killed the ancient Romans,

       and now it's killing me.
